Oil Rig Rumble 2026: Powering Men’s Health in Canada’s Energy Industry

Companies across Canada's energy industry are building teams and competing for a cause through the Oil Rig Rumble.

The Oil Rig Rumble is a Movember challenge that brings Canada’s energy industry together to compete, fundraise and take action for men’s health. Companies build teams, engage their coworkers and compete against industry peers, with momentum building throughout the year and coming together during Movember.

More than a fundraising challenge, the Oil Rig Rumble creates opportunities to rally workplaces, start important conversations and make a lasting impact on men’s health.

Why the energy industry?

More than 75% of the workforce is male, yet men continue to face mental and physical health challenges that too often go unspoken. The Oil Rig Rumble provides the industry a fun, competitive way to put men’s health on the agenda while raising funds for Movember’s work in mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

In 2025, more than 1,200 participants from almost 100 companies raised over $1.2 million in support of Movember. Beyond the dollars raised, participants sparked countless conversations about men’s health, raised awareness across workplaces and helped make men’s health easier to talk about.

Why Get Involved?

The Rumble is about more than fundraising. It’s an opportunity to:

• Engage employees around an important cause
• Start conversations about mental health and wellbeing
• Build awareness of prostate and testicular cancer
• Connect and compete with companies across the energy industry
• Compete for the coveted Oil Rig Rumble trophy and earn bragging rights across the industry
• Take part in Oil Rig Rumble events and experiences throughout the campaign
• Give employees practical tools and resources to take action for their health and the people around them

Movember supports all individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community, including those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual. Health disparities exist, with LGBTQIA+ individuals experiencing higher rates of mental health issues and discrimination, often exacerbated by stigma in healthcare. We advocate for the right to self-identify, protection from discrimination, inclusive education, and rights-affirming healthcare, ensuring everyone can lead a healthy, dignified life.

Movember acknowledge the many and varied experiences of people navigating their health and wellbeing, those who support them and those who came before us whose stories, struggles and strength have shaped what we know. We recognise those who have generously shared their knowledge and wisdom with us and honour those we have lost too soon. Their knowledge, insight and expertise are essential to improving the design, delivery and evaluation of the work that we do and their experiences remind us why this work matters.
