This year, Movember is celebrating our 10-year anniversary with the NYC Marathon! From humble beginnings of a team of 5 to our largest team ever last year, we're excited to once again be a part of this iconic race through the 5 boroughs on the Big Apple. To be part of the Movember team, our runners will need to:

  • Fundraise at least A$3,500 USD for Movember by the fundraising deadline () – please note all fundraising is due before the month of Movember begins
  • Hit fundraising milestones along the way
  • Pay for their own registration fee (Please note this is a change in policy from the NYC Marathon organizers, but you will have a chance to earn that registration fee back)
  • Provide their own travel and accommodation in New York City for the race
  • Represent, in training and in fundraising, Movember and our vision to have an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health

If accepted, you will receive:

  • A guaranteed entry into the 2023 event
  • Custom Movember NYC Marathon race shirt and swag
  • Personalized fundraising page

Movember supports all individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community, including those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual. Health disparities exist, with LGBTQIA+ individuals experiencing higher rates of mental health issues and discrimination, often exacerbated by stigma in healthcare. We advocate for the right to self-identify, protection from discrimination, inclusive education, and rights-affirming healthcare, ensuring everyone can lead a healthy, dignified life.

Movember acknowledge the many and varied experiences of people navigating their health and wellbeing, those who support them and those who came before us whose stories, struggles and strength have shaped what we know. We recognise those who have generously shared their knowledge and wisdom with us and honour those we have lost too soon. Their knowledge, insight and expertise are essential to improving the design, delivery and evaluation of the work that we do and their experiences remind us why this work matters.
