Jason 'Foxy' Fox represent Movember at BGC Partners' Charity Event

BGC Partners and Cantor Fitzgerald, in conjunction with the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund, commemorate their 658 friends and colleagues and 61 Eurobroker employees who perished on September 11th 2001 by distributing 100% of their global revenues on Charity Day to the Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund and dozens of charities around the world.

Movember was honoured to be one of the chosen charities in attendance this year. Our passionate Mo ambassador, TV presenter and author Jason Fox, descended on BGC Charity Day, bringing the trademark Movember approach of “havin' fun whilst doin' good”.

But this was so much more than a meet and greet...Not only did colleagues from BGC Partners enjoy a free haircut courtesy of Movember’s partnership with Gould Barbers – they also got the opportunity to enjoy a cold alcohol-free Rum and Coke courtesy of Stryyk, and to speak with Jason about his long-term support of Movember and why the charity means so much to him.

We also brought along the legendary giant Moustache buzzwire game and pull-up bar, with Foxy and BGC employees having a go and engaging in some healthy competition.

Movember’s activity on the day epitomised our approach to tackling the men’s health crisis. We understand that it’s vital to engage with men using methods with which they’re comfortable – taking health messages to where they are, and sharing these messages over a drink, and with a friendly chat. With 2020 being the challenging and uncertain year that it was, we are committed to de-stigmatising conversations around mental health more than ever before.

BGC Partner’s Charity Day this year also tied in with one of our most important moments, World Suicide Prevention Day (10th September) which provided us with a prime opportunity to engage and support BGC staff. The importance of enjoying a beer with a laugh alongside your mates cannot be underestimated, and neither can the impact of BGC’s charity day, of which Movember was proud to be a part of.
