£1 Million raised for men’s health thanks to your Gen-a-Mo
Your Gen-a-Mo selfies helped raise £1M for Movember, supporting men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer programs.
Will my partner still recognise me? Will it distract from my eyes? Turns out none of that stopped you. This Movember, you didn’t just grow Mo’s - you generated them, shared them and helped us hit something huge.
Thanks to every single one of you who jumped onto Gemini, uploaded a selfie and test-drove everything from wispy handlebars to deluxe trucker-staches. For every Mo generated, posted and tagged, GoogleUK donated £11 to Movember - and together, you helped us reach the full £1,000,000 to support men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
What you made happen
We asked you to Gen-a-Mo, and you delivered. Hundreds of thousands of you jumped onto the Gemini prompt and countless retro, bright-flash, Polaroid-style Mo photos hit social feeds. Every single Mo helped unlock donations that will change and save lives.
Whether you tried out a bold chevron, a subtle pencil or something only describable as “experimental art,” each post mattered.
Thank you for showing up for men’s health
Movember has always been about more than facial hair. It’s about starting conversations that aren’t always easy, raising awareness that’s always needed and funding world-class programs that support men everywhere. Hitting £1,000,000 with GoogleUK’s support is a massive moment. £1,000,000 could transform the community ecosystem, funding trusted local organisations to unite and reach thousands of men who currently fall through the cracks of traditional services.
So, from all of us: thank you for getting involved, for getting creative and for helping drive real change.
