Movember Awards

Movember Awards

Each year we are overwhelmed by the awesomeness of the Movember community. From heroic Mo Bros growing epic moustaches in every shape and size – yes, even a tiny Mo can be powerful - to amazing Mo Sisters showing how it’s done and raising funds and awareness for the most important men in our lives, every Movember is better than the last.

This year has been extraordinary and your efforts for the cause have not gone unnoticed.

So, after 30 days of fierce moustache growing, Move challenges, events hosted and Mo Your Own Way escapades, it’s time to find out who has secured a place in the Movember Hall of Fame.

You nominated and voted in each category of the Movember Awards and our expert Movember panel selected a worthy winner from each category. Here they are:

The Epic One:

The moustache whose greatness we didn’t see coming, but now can’t deny was born to be worn on that face. An awe-inspiring effort and true hero of hairy upper lips.

Winner: Rahim Shamji, Canada

The First One:

You never forget your first. Especially when it looks like this. Nice work, newbie.

Winner: Louis Sullivan, UK

The Salt and Pepper One:

The upper lip that declares ‘I am wise’ to the world, we honour the grey, all-knowing Mo.

Winner: Sanjeev Bandi, Australia

The Disappointing One:

This is ‘at least you tried’ at its best – a lacklustre display worthy of praise and a point for participation. Disappointment at its career best.

Winner: Alex Campbell, UK

Movin’ On Up Award:

For the smoothest moves, the sweatiest effort and a fiery spirit to boot, we honour the world’s best Movember Mover.

Winner: Bradley Brown, Australia

Host with the Most Award:

If hosting is an artform, you are van Mogh. With this award, we honour a Host whose Mo-ment will go down in Mo history.

Winner: The Moustache Matts, US

Mo Your Own Way:

The sky was the limit and you went beyond. This one’s for the big-thinking, bigger-doing, brazenly bold and wildly brave Mo Your Own Way master.

Winner: Jacob Hackford, UK

Thank you to everyone who took part – we’ve been blown away by your commitment to the Mo and men’s health.

Movember supports all individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community, including those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual. Health disparities exist, with LGBTQIA+ individuals experiencing higher rates of mental health issues and discrimination, often exacerbated by stigma in healthcare. We advocate for the right to self-identify, protection from discrimination, inclusive education, and rights-affirming healthcare, ensuring everyone can lead a healthy, dignified life.

Movember acknowledge the many and varied experiences of people navigating their health and wellbeing, those who support them and those who came before us whose stories, struggles and strength have shaped what we know. We recognise those who have generously shared their knowledge and wisdom with us and honour those we have lost too soon. Their knowledge, insight and expertise are essential to improving the design, delivery and evaluation of the work that we do and their experiences remind us why this work matters.
