Movember are helping to shape the future of governmental policy on mental health and wellbeing

Movember has been invited to respond to a call for evidence by Downing Street on how to best improve the mental health and wellbeing for people living in England by improving support and services as part of a new 10 year plan and are preparing a reply to ensure the experiences of men in England are understood. And we’d love for you, the awesome Movember Community, to be a part of this. Click here to answer the two-minute survey.

As members of our community, you know how important it is to raise awareness of men’s health. And we need your help with this today. Right now, the government is collecting evidence for a new 10-year mental health and wellbeing plan for England. And we want to make sure our Mo community voices are heard.

We are working directly with the Department of Health and Social Care to share the thoughts of our valued Mo Community. We need you to complete the two-minute survey below by 13th June. All you need to do is answer a few select questions on mental health and wellbeing, which will be collated and included in Movember’s response.

Click here to answer the two-minute survey.

Or if you have a little more time, click here to respond to the full government survey by 7th July.

Thank you so much for taking part in this important work – together we can change the face of men’s health.

Movember supports all individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community, including those who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual. Health disparities exist, with LGBTQIA+ individuals experiencing higher rates of mental health issues and discrimination, often exacerbated by stigma in healthcare. We advocate for the right to self-identify, protection from discrimination, inclusive education, and rights-affirming healthcare, ensuring everyone can lead a healthy, dignified life.

Movember acknowledge the many and varied experiences of people navigating their health and wellbeing, those who support them and those who came before us whose stories, struggles and strength have shaped what we know. We recognise those who have generously shared their knowledge and wisdom with us and honour those we have lost too soon. Their knowledge, insight and expertise are essential to improving the design, delivery and evaluation of the work that we do and their experiences remind us why this work matters.

Movember Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
