Recovery after surgery and radiation therapy for prostate cancer
Iain describes being diagnosed with prostate cancer and managing his recovery after surgery and radiation therapy.
Iain had a radical prostatectomy to remove prostate cancer soon after diagnosis at the age of 59 years. He describes his recovery from surgery, managing the side effects and subsequently going through 7 weeks of radiation therapy. He says the support of his partner of 35 years through this whole experience has resulted in a stronger relationship.
"My relationship with my partner probably got stronger. Without him, I don't think I would have got through it as easily."
