This Movember, we would like to raise awareness for the young seafarers and cadets of the world.

Mental health is important in all professions and for seafarers, we spend months away from our home with potentially unstable and inconsistent internet connectivity to communicate with our friends and family back home. This, coupled with a different time zone practically every other day, has a profound impact on those just starting out living and working on a vessel.

Unfortunately, in the last five years, there have been more deaths and disappearances among young seafarers (Capt. R. Sharma, 2025) with many recorded as suicide or unexplained causes.

So this Movember, we’re raising money, growing facial hair, and continuing to support our friends, family, fellow seafarers in any capacity that we can.
