Target: £500
raised £3,890 since 2018
My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health

We have now raised £3880 over the last seven years during my time helping with the Movember movement.
I would just like to say a massive 'thank you' again to everyone who has taken the time to donate, it is very much appreciated and this money has gone to some very good causes.

Here we are in November 2025 and these are very challenging times for many of you and I do appreciate if you can take a little time out to donate to this wonderful cause.

During the last couple of years people's mental health has been affected during such uncertain times and I just want to raise awareness and help to contribute some funds that will help in a small way.
There are too many men dying too young in the UK, from either mental health issues or cancer.
As well as the obligatory moustache, I will also 'Move for Movember' I will be walking, running, cycling and swimming for Movember!

If your still reading after all that...this is my story....
I was diagnosed with bowel cancer in December 2017 and had a successful operation to remove a tumour in my colon in January 2018.
Luckily the cancer had not spread and after 5 years of treatment my specialist gave me the all clear in Feb 2023.
I appreciate my cancer is different than the ones supported by Movember but I just wanted to support something which means that funds can be raised for the work done to eradicate this disease.
Having experienced the devastation cancer has caused myself and my family during that time and still exists to an extent, I wanted to do something to show my support for raising awareness of all types of cancer particularly those affecting men, I have decided that growing hair above my lip is my little challenge, taking me back to my youth in the 80s (although not looking like it)!
The Movember Foundation is the leading charity changing the face of men's health and this Movember I'm joining them. Together we can make a difference for men's health – in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Help me stop men dying too young.
Thank you for your support.
Steve
