My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

I’m Mike and I’m from a coffee company named Meebz Coffee Roasters.

MOVEMBER! I’m growing a mo to help the bro’s! Movember is all about men’s health. We’re raising funds and awareness by focusing on the issue of suicide prevention and depression. I’ve chosen this topic because it is an issue with horribly disgusting statistics in New Zealand that is rarely talked about and a topic that many men can relate to. By choosing the issue of men’s mental health my goal is to chat to everyone that donates. This helps us bring the topic to light and if we are able to positively impact anyone along the way of doing so we have achieved our goal.

You can help by:
-Making a small donation here.
-Speak up! Talk about mental health

For ALL donation’s I will call you to thank you and have a short 5-10m chat. When you donate please leave your e-mail and I’ll contact you to set a time.
During our call I’ll also touch on some of the topics I am raising awareness for with an attempt to make a positive change moving forward.

$50 or more: Meebz Coffee Roasters will send you a bag of coffee (our Movember blend) to thank you for your donation. You’ll also receive a phone call chat as above and I also invite you to use this time to ask me any questions that will help you level up your coffee game at home (or work if you are a barista).

Like last time, my aim isn’t to purely raise a large amount of money although this does help the Movember charity. The act of raising money also raises awareness for the issues men are facing with mental health, depression and suicide awareness. If you can’t help financially that’s ok.

$541

$541.50 was raised on Saturday 24th November from our charity day. On this day 100% of the profits from coffee sales on this day were raised for Men's Health. Our friends at Moustache Cookies kindly donated us cookies which were sold during the day which also contributed to this day. The other contribution was from our donation box in which many generous people contributed to.

THANK YOU ALL THOSE THAT WERE INVOLVED!!

From Mike: I'm so thrilled that many of my friends and customers travelled to purchase and make a donation on this day and I can't thank you enough. Preventing suicide and depression is a cause that I am really passionate about and I appreciate the support.

Love your work keep on spreading the message & starting these vital conversations ! The stats are horrific yet so real, each passing year marks so many beautiful milestones in my friends lives yet also each year I have lost someone close to me or close to someone I know from suicide & its horrrofying how often it's the big strong men who from the outside seemed to have it all together. I'm in the health & fitness industry mainly focussed on females but when I do work with males it's amazing how easy it can be to open up on mental issues with a lil banter & creating safe space ! Just needs to be focussed on more , because you nevertheless know who needs to talk or be heard. I don't have much to give but giving what I would easy spend on couple coffees
