I've been participating in Movember for the past 11 years. It began as an excuse to grow a mustache with a bunch of work buddies. A few years ago, it's transformed into something more personal as in June 2021 I was diagnosed with testicular cancer. After early detection and surgery, I'm well on my way to remission. I would like to think even as a non-mustache-growing-participant I would have caught this early and treated it. But even so, being part of the mustache community gave me the resources and calmness to make everything easier.

Testicular cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in young men, and rates have doubled in the last 50+ years! Many men can be too nervous to talk to their doctor because, lets face it, so many men are idiots and don't share their feelings even with people trying to help.

The Movember Foundation is working to increase awareness and halve the number of deaths from testicular cancer by 2030. I want to help them get there. And I want you to help me to stop men from dying too young! Donate to increase testicular cancer treatment research and encourage a man you know to talk to their doctor. Because lets face it, you might be saving their life.

Post Script:
This year I'm running 100 ft in elevation gain for every point the Bears loose by on Sunday. Sponsor me and hedge your bets in Vegas!
I'll just be posting all my running on here so you can see how much this mustache weighs me down. Don't judge the times.
