My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

I'm running the NYC marathon this year in support of Movember because this cause hits close to home. A few years ago, my dad was diagnosed with Leukemia - a moment that shocked our family. The only reason he is healthy and thriving today is because of some shortness of breath during a run that concerned him. He knew about his own body to immediately head to the doctor on Monday morning. But his blood work told a very different story: a white blood count of .9 when it should've been at a 4, a platelet count of 19 when it should've been at a 150. Life changed quickly that day, one day before my 24th birthday and 5 days before Christmas. But because he was proactive, he's here today, thriving and as happy as ever.

Men tend to make excuses for concerning symptoms: "I'm tired," "I'm old,".. etc.. And oftentimes, they don't have the time to seek medical help, before their symptoms become emergencies. Movember is about more than just raising awareness - it's about empowering men to take action with regards to their own health, whether it's a physical ailment like cancer or a mental concern like depression.

Fundraising for this cause is my way of giving back, of celebrating my dad's recovery, and of supporting others who are still fighting. I'd greatly appreciate any donation for this important cause. Help give men the the power to control their own health.
