My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

I am running the 2025 NYC Marathon in support of the men in my life who I have seen struggle with mental health, suicidal thoughts, and suicide attempts.
 I have watched someone close to me go through, and complete, multiple rounds of intensive inpatient and outpatient programs. His journey has been inspiring, as he has faced numerous obstacles relating to his mental health and still manages to make others around him laugh and smile.

However, I’ve had different conversations with those who battle mental health challenges and even people who seem to wear a permanent smile on the outside can be struggling on the inside.
 Over the years, suicide rates have remained alarmingly high, especially among men and too often, men suffer in silence, trying to “tough it out.”

Initially, running the NYC Marathon was a personal goal, but I quickly realized I wanted to give greater meaning to why I run. Running for Team Movember gives me a way to help open up the conversation around men's mental health. I want to run in support of those who are struggling, silently or openly, so they know they are not alone.
