My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

I'm running the Chicago Marathon with Movember to support their mission of promoting physical and mental health, especially for men who often struggle in silence. As a pastor for over 30 years, I've seen the vital role mental health professionals play, including during my daughter's battle with postpartum difficulties and my sons' struggles after complicated relationships.

Personal losses, like a friend's brother's suicide, underline the need for open conversations. Too many men suffer alone, but Movember's work reminds us that help is available. Running this marathon is my way of raising awareness and standing with those in need.
