Several years ago I was very much on the brink of bringing an end to my own life, I had a date, note and method all laid out. I had spent years screaming and feeling like I wasn't properly heard, I had come to distrust everyone around me immensely and saw no point in continuing in a world that I believed was out to get me.

While I was able to muster the willpower to pull myself away from the idea of ending my life, my suffering didn't end there, I continued to suffer for most of my teenage years and only began to get proper help after immense effort and shouting, though that help wasn't exactly good, or presented in good faith.

I'm glad to say now that I'm happy to be alive and that I am happy to have the help and support I do from those around me, though my healing is far from over. I have been at the lowest a person can reach and I wouldn't wish that on even the one I loathe the most, nobody deserves to go through what I have, and in a world where men's mental health is a massive social issue, if I can do even a small part to help or bring awareness to those who suffered in silence like I did, then I will, and this is my way of properly starting that.
