My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

Depression and anxiety have been part of my life, especially over the last few years. Those who know me might be surprised to hear that — but that’s the thing about mental health: most of the time, no one can see it.

We need to be more open about these struggles so we can recognise when something’s not right and reach out for help — something many men still find difficult to do.

I’m also doing this for my younger brother, who passed away two years ago when his heart failed. He was in his mid-30s — far too young. He battled obesity and depression for much of his life and had decided to turn things around, but sadly never got the chance.

I hope sharing this encourages others to take stock of their mental and physical health — and to make changes if they need to. It’s certainly done that for me.
