My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Mental health and suicide prevention

On average, a man commits suicide every 60 seconds. That's 60 men an hour, 1440 per day, and 525,600 over the course of the year. I nearly became a part of that statistic…

At the end of 2023, things were rough. My marriage was unraveling, my mental health was collapsing, and I felt isolated in a way I’d never experienced before. I was functioning on the outside, but internally I was barely holding on.

Around this time, my brother asked me to run the 2024 New York City Marathon with him for men’s mental health. I didn’t feel ready, or strong, or even worthy of calling myself a runner. But I said yes anyway.

Training became the place where I started to find myself again. One mile at a time, I rebuilt not just my body, but my sense of purpose. Running gave me something steady when everything else felt uncertain.

In 2025, we carried that mission forward and ran the Chicago Marathon for the same cause – raising awareness and funds to support men who are struggling in silence.

And this year (2026), we’ll take it one step further, running the Berlin Marathon together to continue this work and this conversation.

Would you donate toward this cause to prevent men's suicide and help me reach my goal of $3,000?

(All funds go directly to Movember to support this cause. I will be paying for my flights and in-country expenses personally)

Thanks for sharing your story and taking on this cause Ben. Running is truly a gift (curse?) as you've clearly demonstrated.
I started running seriously a couple years ago but really over the past year, following knee surgery and I am a believer in what it does for me.
Training for my first 10k in 9 weeks and first half next Spring. The task is daunting but exciting too!
Best wishes on your run and the cause. God bless you and keep you Ben :)
