My motivation

WELCOME BACK TO THE BEST SUPPORT GROUP EVER! Another year and I am sure another milestone broken by all of your massive support!

Since I was younger I have always struggled to overcome feelings of anxiousness that would grow into depressive episodes. Through life things have gotten better and worse, but I have always felt my general trend has been in the right direction. I've felt I have been down and out on two separate occasions. I would not have gotten through them without the help of professionals, but also my friends and family. I do this to bring awareness to others that men do have their own mental health issues, but due to stigmas related to it in society they may not seek help and brush it off until it is too late. Do not be afraid to check in on a bro who has been acting different. Do not be afraid to offer input, even if unwanted, on things that may be deteriorating their mental outlook such as toxic relationships, work, and substances. Its easy for someone going through difficult times to feel alone, so reach out a lending hand and lets have difficult conversations. Nothing worth having comes easy, and what's worth more than life itself?

To raise awareness I am doing 215 miles in the month of November as 2/15 was a key point in my own journey. I will be rucking (yes rucking) with ~40 lbs of weight representing the 1 man we lose to their own hands every 40 seconds globally. Biking to supplement miles if theres a time restrait or injury. I also will abstain from any alcohol this month as I believe substances can deteriorate ones mental health especially when abused. I want to show it is possible to live a social life and a fulfilled life without the substance that I partake in.

LETS SAVE SOME BROS

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. Movember is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there. Help me stop men dying too young.

Hey… I just want you to know I see how hard you’ve been trying. You keep showing up, even on the days that may feel heavy. You’re taking care of yourself and pushing others to do the same. I’m proud of you — truly. Keep going.
