Sept 9 of 2020, We learned that my stepdad had cancer.
Sept 26 of 2020, his battle ended, almost as quickly as it began. He meant more to me than he ever knew. I hope that wherever he is, he can see that we’re still living to the fullest.

On 4th of July of 2022 BJ lost his battle with depression and anxiety. He was a friend, a roommate, and a brother. I’m adding his name to the list. Mental health is Important, and we need to take care of each other.

Originally I wanted to play in The Moustache Classic to have fun and raise money to help out some people. Now? I’m playing in this game for Bill and his big stache. Fuck Cancer.

It’s been almost 5 years that seems to have gone by in a blink. His initials are with my on my pads and so is one of his funniest sayings. WFO’s with me on the ice every game.

BJ was a light in the darkness for so many people, but he struggled daily. I’ll miss him dearly, but he wouldn’t want us to mourn his life. He’d want us to celebrate the good times we had together. So Slainte, bro. Slainte. Fuck anxiety and depression.
